HC Deb 25 November 1919 vol 121 cc1616-7
51. Mr. LYLE

asked the Prime Minister whether he can now give the House some definite information regarding the extradition of the Kaiser from Holland in order that he may stand his trial; and whether the Allied Council is satisfied that adequate steps are being taken to prevent his escape?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I can add nothing to the answers already given on this subject.

Mr. LYLE

May I have a reply to the last part of my question? In view of the fact that there is great danger of what is everybody's business being nobody's business, is there not considerable risk of the Kaiser adopting a scuttling policy?

Mr. BONAR LAW

That has been answered in previous questions. It has not been overlooked.

Mr. DONALD

Has the right hon. Gentleman considered the advisability of clothing him in the garb of the Royal Irish Constabulary and sending him to Ireland?

Lieut. - Commander KENWORTHY

It would not be the first German who has gone there.
