HC Deb 20 November 1919 vol 121 c1129
MR. T. MOLES (by Private Notice)

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he received on the 5th November, 1919, a copy of a resolution passed by the Belfast Corporation on 3rd November, registering their intention to appoint a local committee under the Profiteering Act; whether it is a fact that no acknowledgment of the receipt of the resolution was sent to the corporation; whether he has also received an urgent telegram from the corporation protesting against the delay in this matter; and whether he will take immediate steps to have the request of the corporation expedited?

Sir A. GEDDES

I am afraid, Sir that I have no personal knowledge of the matters referred to in this question, and I regret that as notice of my hon. Friend's intention to ask it did not reach me until a few minutes before I had to leave my office to come to the House, I have not had time to make the necessary inquiries. I will look into the matter immediately and communicate with my hon. Friend.
