Friedrich has recently declared himself in favour of a restoration of the monarchy in Hungary; and what is the attitude of His Majesty's Government towards an attempt at a restoration of the monarchy in Hungary?
Mr. HARMSWORTHHis Majesty's Government have not yet recognised any Government in Hungary, where they are acting in concert with the other Principal Allied and Associated Powers. It is the policy of the Supreme Council, whose Envoy, Sir George Clerk, is now at Budapest, not to allow the return of a Hapsburg dynasty to Hungary. M. Fried- 214 rich, the head of the present Provisional Government of Hungary, fully understands the attitude of the Allied and Associated Powers towards this question.
