HC Deb 06 November 1919 vol 120 cc1668-9
49. Mr. A. SHAW

asked the Prime Minister whether Sir Francis Dunnell had been appointed to a post in the Ministry of Transport; and, if so, was his salary paid by the North-Eastern Railway Company or by the Government?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of TRANSPORT (Lieut.-Colonel Sir Rhys Williams)

I must refer the hon. Member to the answers given on this subject to various hon. Members on the 3rd and 24th June last. Sir Francis Dunne11 has been appointed as secretary and solicitor to the Ministry of Transport, to the staff of which Ministry he is temporarily transferred under the provisions of Section 7 of the Ministry of Transport Act. While so transferred his salary will be charged against the Ministry of Transport Vote.
