HC Deb 06 November 1919 vol 120 c1650
7. Major COHEN

asked the Pensions Minister whether the Report of the Bacon Committee, which inquired into the question of the standardising of artificial limbs, has yet been considered; and, if so, whether these recommendations are being adopted?

The MINISTER of PENSIONS (Sir Laming Worthington-Evans)

The answer to the first past, of this question is in the affirmative. With regard to the latter part I am adopting the Report in its entirety, except that I disagree with the recommendation that in every case the man should have a permanent peg leg in addition to the mechanical limb which is to be provided in duplicate.
