HC Deb 05 November 1919 vol 120 c1480
86. Mr. A. SHORT

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that wounded officers still receiving treatment at the officers' hospital, Headington, Oxford, have been discharged from the Army and are now in receipt of pension only, whilst others have been under hospital treatment for considerable periods and are still in receipt of full Army pay; and whether he will have inquiry made into this matter, and direct that the officers in the above-mentioned hospital shall receive the same treatment as all other wounded officers and men?

Mr. FORSTER

It is quite possible without any breach of regulations that an officer may be in an Army hospital after he has been retired from the Army, and I have no reason to suppose that the officers at Headington have been irregularly treated; but if my hon. Friend will give me particulars of the cases he has in mind I will have inquiry made.
