asked the Prime Minister if, in view of increased taxation and the reduced value of money, he will consider the advisability of causing a special inquiry to be made into the adequacy, or otherwise, of the present salaries of His Majesty's judges in general, and County Court judges in particular?


The Government are not prepared at present to consider this suggestion.
