HC Deb 05 November 1919 vol 120 c1488
41. Mr. GWYNNE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any indemnity has yet been received from Germany for compensation to those British firms who lost their business premises in Belgium by reason of the German occupation; and, if not, when it may be expected?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given by the Chancellor of the Exchequer to the question put by the hon. Member for West Toxteth on 27th October.

Lieut.-Colonel LOWTHER

Do these terms provide compensation for British firms who have lost their premises in Belgium owing to the War?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

I must have notice of that question.
