Captain O'GRADYasked the Secretary of State for War whether, having regard to the fact that no general embargo on the importation of live cattle and sheep into this country now exists he can state when the wharves at Deptford now occupied for military purposes will be vacated; and, if total vacation of the wharves is impossible at the moment, will sufficient space be released to accommodate the landing of Canadian cattle and sheep for slaughter?
§ Mr. CHURCHILLThe War Department depot at Deptford is held under a definite agreement which has still some years to run, and while its use as a Supply Reserve Depot is becoming more and more restricted, the space thus made available is being used for other military purposes.
