HC Deb 29 May 1919 vol 116 cc1419-20
80. Mr. GRUNDY

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that two railway-coach repairing shops at Ashford are not working full-time, and that twelve men have been discharged and further discharges are expected; and whether he will make inquiries into this matter, and state the reason for this shortage of work at a time when railway rolling stock is admittedly out of repair?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I am not aware of the circumstances of the case, but I am making inquiries.
