HC Deb 28 May 1919 vol 116 c1222
71. Colonel ASHLEY

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will offer to present, or, at any rate, offer to sell, some of the transport motor wagons now in the possession of the War Office to the Overseas Dominions and Colonies?

The DEPUTY MINISTER of MUNITIONS (Mr. Kellaway)

The representatives of Overseas Dominions and Colonies have been informed that motor transport wagons and a great variety of other stores will be available for disposal, and have been asked to state what they will wish to purchase. Several replies have been received and negotiations for purchase are proceeding.

Colonel ASHLEY

What are the terms you are offering to the Dominions? Are they the same as to general purchasers in Great Britain?

Mr. KELLAWAY

No preference in price is given but they are given a preference in opportunity.
