HC Deb 28 May 1919 vol 116 c1218
55. Mr. HIGHAM

asked the Prime Minister if the Government have decided to place lorries on the streets of London to relieve the congestion of traffic; and, if so, when will they be available to the public?

Sir A. GEDDES

I have been asked to answer this question. As I informed my hon. Friend was my intention in the answer which I gave him on Monday, I met yesterday representatives of the Departments and authorities concerned and discussed the question of lorries being placed on the streets to relieve the congstion of traffic and I have every hope that it will be possible to do so at a very early date.
