§ Mr. BILLINGMay I ask, Mr. Speaker, whether, having regard to the large number of supplementary questions which were asked at Question Time to-day, and to the fact that it has been generally admitted that useful work at Question Time can be done by means of supplementary questions, you would consider the question either of extending the time 841 allowed for questions or of limiting the number of questions put by each Member to one, so that each Member might have an opportunity of following up a subject to some point and getting from a Minister some general admission; since the fact of notice being given gives the Minister an opportunity of preparing an evasive reply which he is not nimble-witted enough to think of when a supplementary question is put?
