§ The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Illingworth)There are fourteen cables 822 between the British Isles and North America. They all land in Canada or Newfoundland, and there are extension cables or landlines between Canada and Newfoundland on the one hand and the United States on the other by means of which they can be used for communication with the latter country.
