HC Deb 22 May 1919 vol 116 c581
Mr. BOTTOMLEY

I beg to ask leave to move the Adjournment of the House for the purpose of discussing a definite matter of urgent public importance, namely, the absence from the Peace Treaty with Germany of any definite provision for the reimbursement of the cost of the War as distinguished from reparation for damage to persons and property.

The pleasure of the House not having been signified, Mr. SPEAKER called on those Members who supported the Motion to rise in their places, and, less than forty Members having accordingly risen, the House proceeded to the Orders of the Day.
