HC Deb 22 May 1919 vol 116 cc546-7
25. Lieut.-Colonel Sir S. HOARE

asked the First Commissioner of Works if he will state for what purpose a tower is being added to the temporary buildings now-being erected upon Burton Court, Chelsea?

Sir A. MOND

The so-called tower is the superstructure erected to carry the tanks required for the supply of water to the heating system in the buildings.

26. Sir S. HOARE

asked the First Commissioner of Works whether he has received any complaint from medical authorities as to the temporary buildings that have been erected upon Burton Court, Chelsea?

Sir A. MOND

A complaint was received a short time ago from the Deputy-Surgeon of the Royal Military Hospital at Chelsea that the temporary hutting then being erected would affect the health of the occupants of the park-keeper's lodge. This was fully investigated, and it was found that the complaint was not justified.
