HC Deb 20 May 1919 vol 116 c206
87. Sir ALFRED YEO

asked the Postmaster-General if he is aware of the fact that, although the subsistence allowances payable to travelling officers in the Post Office engineering department have not been increased during the War, the Regulations governing such allowances are interpreted in an illiberal manner by the officers who check the claims, to the further detriment of the travelling officers concerned; and if this policy, which is causing dissatisfaction, is followed with his knowledge and sanction?

Mr. ILLINGWORTH

I am not aware of any such cases, but if the hon. Member will be good enough to forward me particulars, I will have inquiry made.
