HC Deb 14 May 1919 vol 115 c1590
68. Sir JAMES BRUTON

asked the Secretary to the Treasury what Government. Department is actually now in charge of the national shipbuilding yards at Chepstow, Beachley, and Portbury and what is to be the ultimate fate of these yards?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of SHIPPING (Colonel Leslie Wilson)

I have been asked to reply. The Ministry of Shipping is in charge of the national shipyards at Chepstow, Beachley, and Portbury. As regards the disposal of the yards, I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave yesterday to the hon. Member for The Wrekin.
