asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture when the names of the members of the Royal Commission on Agriculture will be announced; and whether the terms of reference will include the question of nationalising the land in the same manner that the Coal Commission in inquiring into the nationalising of mines, especially in view of the fact that a great deal of agricultural land is now being sold at very high prices to speculators?
§ 29. Captain REGINALD TERRELL
asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture whether he is taking steps to secure the representation on the Royal Commission on Agriculture of farmers, agricultural labourers, smallholders, allotment-holders, landlords, and consumers; whether he will ensure that in all cases, except the last named and the chairman, the nominees shall be directly connected with the land; whether 1320 there will be at least one woman on the Commission; and whether he can now state the name of the chairman?
