HC Deb 06 May 1919 vol 115 c735
53. Commander BELLAIRS

asked the Prime Minister when the public receptions in London are to be given to Admiral of the Fleet Sir David Beatty and to the officers and men of the naval forces engaged in the War?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the ADMIRALTY (Dr. Macnamara)

I have been asked to reply to this question. It is intended that a public reception shall be given to Sir David Beatty and to officers and men of the naval forces engaged in the War, as part of the Peace celebrations.

Viscount CURZON

Will the officers and men selected be identified with the ships in which they actually served during the War?

Dr. MACNAMARA

I will put that point to the naval authorities.

Sir C. KINLOCH-COOKE

Is it not the case that the bluejackets are to march through London?

Dr. MACNAMARA

Yes, certainly.
