HC Deb 06 May 1919 vol 115 c720
6. Mr. CLOUGH

asked the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to the number of low-category men in the Labour Corps in this country whose demobilisation is urgently needed to help their families who have struggled on through the War, and who are now breaking down in health; and whether special treatment can be accorded to cases of this nature, especially since the men themselves are of little, if any, military value?

Captain GUEST

Instructions have been issued for the early withdrawal from military duties and the demobilisation wherever possible of Labour Corps personnel who are not retainable under present Regulations. Cases of a compassionate nature receive special consideration.
