HC Deb 05 May 1919 vol 115 c588
71. Captain W. BENN

asked the Secretary of State for War whether parcels and letters may be sent to the soldiers at Archangel, and, if not, for what reason?

Mr. ILLINGWORTH

My right hon. Friend has asked me to answer this question. Parcels and letters may be sent to the troops at Archangel. The acceptance of parcels was stopped when Archangel was icebound and navigation ceased, but they have again been accepted since the 25th of March last.
