Mr. SWANasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Munitions whether he has received a resolution from the Foleshill Tenants' Association demanding a reduction in the rents of the Government cottages at Coventry on the ground that they are too high in view of the unhealthy conditions of the cottages and the lack of convenience; and whether he will make inquiries into this matter and see that some reply is given to the representations made by the association?
§ Mr. KELLAWAYThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The matter is under consideration, and a reply will be given in due course to the representations made by the association. There is no truth in the allegation that the cottages are unhealthy.
