Major O'NEILLasked the Prime Minister whether any steps are being taken to carry out the recommendations contained in the Ninth Resolution of the Imperial War Conference of 19l7 to the effect that the readjustment of the constitutional relations of the various parts of the Empire should form the subject of a special Imperial Conference to be summoned as soon as possible after the termination of hostilities?
§ Mr. BONAR LAWMy hon. and gallant Friend will realise that all the Governments of the Empire are pre-occupied with the great problems of Peace and 863 Reconstruction, and are not in a position to consider general constitutional problems at the moment. The Prime Minister will no doubt have an opportunity, before his Dominion colleagues return to their respective Dominions, of consulting them as to the most convenient time and method for giving effect to this resolution.
