At September, 1918, the latest date for which information is available, the prices per pound were: 1s. 8¾d. sirloin steak, 1s. 8d. round steak, 1s. 4½d. rib roast, 1s. 2¼d. chuck roast, 11d. plate beef, 1s. 6½d. lamb, 1s. 11d. pork chops, and 2s. 5¼d.for a dozen eggs. The American dollar has been converted at 4s. 2d.
