HC Deb 19 March 1919 vol 113 cc2075-6
21. Colonel THORNE

asked the Secretary to the Admiralty whether he is now in a position to reply to the letter sent to him on 13th January last by the hon. Member for the Plaistow Division of West Ham, asking for inquiry to be made with a view to increasing the wages of munition transport workers in the Admiralty Department, Inverness; if the delay in dealing with the application is causing dissatisfaction among the workers concerned; and if he will state the reason no reply has been given?

Dr. MACNAMARA

Some correspondence between the Admiralty and the Senior Naval Officer, Inverness, has been necessary in connection with this matter. A decision will be arrived at and a reply will be sent to my hon. Friend within a few days.
