asked the Secretary to the Board of Trade if he can see his way to take off or lessen the import restrictions, at least temporarily, from cheap alarm clocks made in the United States until plans and arrangements shall have been made to make these clocks in this country?

I am not prepared to accord separate treatment to these articles which will be dealt with, like all other manufactured articles, under the policy explained to the House by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Reconstruction and by me on the 10th March.
