HC Deb 17 March 1919 vol 113 cc1733-4
96. Lieutenant-Colonel DALRYMPLE WHITE

asked the Home Secretary whether, with a view to minimise the pre- sent shortage of taxi-cabs, he will arrange that a more ample issue of petrol is made to such vehicles?

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

I have been asked to reply to this question. The limitations as regards the amount of petrol allowed to applicants for motor spirit licences were removed at the end of last year. Owners of taxi-cabs are now licensed to obtain as much petrol as they desire to use in their vehicles.
