Sir JOHN BUTCHERasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in order to encourage the better education of the younger generation and to mitigate the hardships of the incidence of the Income Tax, he will favourably consider the granting, in addition to the existing £30 abatement in respect of each child, of an abatement not exceeding £50 to cover the expenses actually incurred in his or her education?
