HC Deb 12 March 1919 vol 113 cc1249-50
3. Colonel YATE

asked the Secretary of State for India whether he will consider favourably the grant of an entitled passage by transport to ex-officers of the Indian Army Reserve of Officers who, owing to wounds or illness contracted on field service, are desirous of visiting this country; and also the grant of indulgence passages to England to the same officers when the transport service comes again under the control of the Secretary of State for India?

Mr. FISHER

The Secretary of State is prepared to consider favourably a claim to entitled passage by transport in any case in which an ex-officer of the I.A.R.O. resident in India, may be compelled by the consequences of wounds or illness contracted on field service to visit this country, and in one such case the grant of passage has already been approved. The reply to the second part of the question is in the affirmative.
