Captain AINSWORTHasked the Secretary of State for War how many men out of the 1,600 who embarked on the "Caledonia" from Port Said on the 18th January last reached England; how many of these men died on the voyage home; and how many were reported as suffering from pneumonia on arrival in England?
Captain GUESTOne hundred and seventy one officers and 1,992 other ranks embarked on the date mentioned, and the whole of them disembarked at Taranto on the 21st. The voyage report states that there was no sickness on board. I have no information at present as to the journey from Taranto to England, but inquiries are being made.
