Mr. LYNNasked the Chief Secretary whether, in introducing housing reform in Ireland, he will so amend the Small Dwellings Act that applications may be extended from houses of £400 value to houses of £1,000 value; whether he will consider the advisability of reducing the qualifying deposit from 20 per cent. to 5 per cent.; and whether, at the same time, he will recommend the Treasury to make a Grant to the local authorities to stimulate private individuals to build houses?
