HC Deb 06 March 1919 vol 113 c594
24. Mr. LYNN

asked the Chief Secretary whether, in introducing housing reform in Ireland, he will so amend the Small Dwellings Act that applications may be extended from houses of £400 value to houses of £1,000 value; whether he will consider the advisability of reducing the qualifying deposit from 20 per cent. to 5 per cent.; and whether, at the same time, he will recommend the Treasury to make a Grant to the local authorities to stimulate private individuals to build houses?

Mr. MACPHERSON

The points referred to by my hon. Friend will be taken ito consideration when the Irish Clauses of the Housing Bill are being prepared.
