Mr. T. WILSON (by Private Notice)asked the Postmaster General whether he is aware that a quantity of London County Council election addresses were posted at the South Lambeth Sub-Post Office on Monday last and are only now being delivered, and whether, in view of the fact that the London County Council elections are being held to-day, he will institute immediate inquiry into the cause of the delay in delivery?
§ The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Illingworth)According to my information the bulk of the addresses were posted on Saturday and Monday and were delivered, respectively, on Monday and Tuesday morning. A smaller quantity was posted on Tuesday evening, and these were delivered on Wednesday morning.
