HC Deb 06 March 1919 vol 113 c622
Mr. RENDALL

May I ask the Leader of the House what stages of the Rent Restriction Bill he proposes to take to-morrow?

Mr. BONAR LAW

We propose to take only the Second Reading.

Mr. DEVLIN

What about a day for discussing the Government's policy in regard to Ireland?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The usual course, as the hon. Member knows, is to arrange that with the Whips or the Irish Secretary. As soon, as that step has been taken, I will make an announcement.

Sir D. MACLEAN

Will the Leader of the House tell us what business he proposes to take next week?

Mr. BONAR LAW

We had intended to take the Ways and Communications Bill next week, but I have received so many representations from different Members asking for a longer delay that we might take it on Monday week. The business for next week will be—

Monday, Vote on Account, Report stage.

Tuesday, Increase of Rent and Mortgage Interest (Restrictions) Bill, Committee stage; and Civil Contingencies Fund Bill, Committee stage.

Wednesday, Navy Estimates.

Thursday, Air Estimates.
