HC Deb 06 March 1919 vol 113 c605
50. Lieutenant-Colonel WEIGALL

asked the Prime Minister when the agricultural policy of the Government is to be communicated to the House; and whether he realises the urgency of this question, in view of the altered circumstances since the passage of the Corn Production Act?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The Government quite realise the importance of the question, but I am not yet in a position to make any statement in regard to it.

Lieutenant-Colonel WEIGALL

Can we have an answer to this before the introduction of any Land Settlement Bill or any proposed legislation dealing with the agricultural community?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I cannot give a definite promise to that effect, but a decision will be taken as soon as possible.
