HC Deb 03 March 1919 vol 113 c41
96. Brigadier-General COLVIN

asked whether returned prisoners of war from the Eastern Front who, owing to the exorbitant demands of their captors, are in necessitous circumstances will receive prompt assistance?

Mr. CHURCHILL

As announced in the House on 17th July last, in answer to a question by my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Melton, the War Office is prepared to consider any special cases where the grants made from Army funds by the Netherlands Minister at Constantinople have proved inadequate.
