HC Deb 03 March 1919 vol 113 c35
63. Sir R. COOPER

asked the Prime Minister if, in view of the suggested sinking of the German Fleet and the costly naval programme recently adopted by the United States Government, he will suggest to the Peace Conference that the German Navy should be offered for sale to President Wilson and thus avoid wasteful expenditure on armaments?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I have nothing to add to the answer which I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for York on Thursday last.
