HC Deb 30 June 1919 vol 117 c619
97. Mr. CLOUGH

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that firms could employ a large number of additional hands if only they could secure the liberation from the Army of expert men whose knowledge is essential to any industrial expansion; and whether, in view of the existing unemployment, he will make special representations to the War Office on this point?

Sir R. HORNE

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer which I gave to the hon. Member for Elland on the 24th June.
