§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of FOOD (Mr. McCurdy)The numbers of the staff of the 165 Ministry of Food at the date of the Armistice and on the 31st May, 1919, were approximately as follows:
On 11th November, 1918, headquarters staff 4,700, provincial staff 4,100—total, 8,800; on 31st May, 1919, headquarters staffs 2,900, provincial staff 2,000—total, 4,900.
