HC Deb 05 June 1919 vol 116 c2221
109. Sir WILLIAM PEARCE

asked the President of the Local Government Board if Poor Law officials on superannuation are entitled to an amount based upon the full salary at present paid, inclusive of bonus?

Mr. PRATT (Lord of the Treasury)

My right hon. Friend is advised that, in calculating the superannuation allowance to which an officer in receipt of a war bonus is entitled under the Poor Law Officers' Superannuation Act, 1896, the war bonus should be taken into account in the absence of any agreement to the contrary made at the time when the bonus was granted between the officer and the authority employing him.
