Lieut.-Colonel THORNEasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that American whisky importers are in a position to import whisky in American steamers if the Government will give permission to allow it to be imported; and, in consequence of there being a shortage of whisky in this country, will he give facilities for the importation of American whisky that has been purchased and paid for since January of this year?
