SHAWasked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the shortage of clothing material for civilian wear and the prices now being charged, and in order to mitigate unemployment in the dyeing and clothing trades, he will place upon the market a substantial monthly quantity of the 6,500,000 yards of material suitable for dyeing for civilian wear which is now being held up by the War Office?
§ Mr. FORSTERSuch quantities of material as are surplus to Army requirements will, when the latter are settled, be reported to the Disposals Board, with whom rest the arrangements for the disposal of surplus stocks.
