HC Deb 02 June 1919 vol 116 c1679
66. Mr. LAMBERT

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Agriculture if information has reached him that the slaughter of cows and of calves in the four Western Counties is such as to imperil the supply of milk in the future in these counties?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of FOOD (Mr. McCurdy)

The information in the possession of the Food Controller is not such as to justify the fear expressed by the hon. Member.

Mr. LAMBERT

May I ask if the Board of Agriculture have received any information as to this subject, which is essentially a matter for them?

Sir A. BOSCAWEN

Yes, we have received a good deal of information, and if my hon. Friend will put another question down I will answer it.
