asked what, if any, decision the Cabinet has arrived at in regard to the petition of the Cyprus Mission now in this country; and will a reasoned statement in explanation of such decision be afforded now or when the decision is promulgated?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

No decision has been arrived at on the question to which the hon. Member refers. When a decision is reached the Government will give the fullest explanation to the House.

Mr. RENDALL

Will the decision be reached fairly early?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

Yes, I think so.

Sir S. HOARE

Does the hon. Gentleman not realise that there is a great body of opinion against this petition?

Mr. HARMSWORTH

Yes, I know that.
