HC Deb 28 July 1919 vol 118 c1812
56 Sir A. FELL

asked the Prime Minister if the cost of the Army of Occupation | of Mesopotamia is being paid by Turkey, by India, or by this country; and if the payment of the whole cost of this expedition is to be demanded of Turkey as one of the conditions of Peace?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The whole cost of the Army of Occupation in Mesopotamia is borne by this country, subject to a contribution from India representing the normal cost of certain Indian units which are included in the Army of Occupation. As regard the last part of the question, it is not possible to give any details as to the Treaty of Peace with Turkey.
