Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHYasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is aware that Polish forces have crossed the demarcation line between Poland and Lithuania laid down by the Inter-Allied Commission; whether the Lithuanian Army is at present engaged in guarding the northern frontier of Lithuania against the Russian Soviet troops; and what steps are proposed to bring about a withdrawal of Polish troops into their own territory?
Mr. HARMSWORTHThe answer to the first and second parts of the question asked by the hon. and gallant Member is in the affirmative. As regards the last purl of the question, the Supreme War Council in Paris have requested the Polish Government that the necessary instructions may be given to Polish troops to withdraw with the least possible delay to south of the demarcation line.
