HC Deb 23 July 1919 vol 118 c1338
32. Sir B. FALLE

asked the Secretary to the Admiralty if he can make any statement as to the service pensions of men invalided apart from any award in respect of disability?

Dr. MACNAMARA

Under present Regulations, only a man with fourteen years' service is entitled to a life pension on the service disability scale, in addition to any award from the Ministry of Pensions in respect of permanent disablement. The whole question of the service disability side of the award made to the men invalided is now being considered.

Sir B. FALLE

Is it on the new basis?

Dr. MACNAMARA

That is the point, whether the service disability side shall be reassessed to an amount proportionate to the new scale basis, but as to that I can give no undertaking at the moment.
