Captain QRMSBY-GOREasked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the Peninsular and Oriental liner "Nankin," en route for India, has been delayed at Port Said for cleansing purposes, and the passengers taken off the ship and placed in quarantine at Alexandria under very unsatisfactory conditions; and whether he will cause inquiry to be made into the matter?
Mr. HARMSWORTHI have no official information on the subject, but I understand that a private telegram has been received in England from passengers by this vessel complaining of their detention. A telegram has been sent to General Allenby to ask for particulars.
