HC Deb 21 July 1919 vol 118 c880
27. Mr. GILBERT

asked the Presdent of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that the passenger staircases at Monument Station, District Railway, are largely used for wet fish traffic from Billingsgate Market; and whether he can take any steps with the railway company concerned to prevent these stairways or some of them from being so used, so that passengers shall not have to use stairs that are dirty and unpleasant, caused by the leakages from cases of fish?

Sir A. GEDDES

I will make inquiry of the railway company, and inform the hon. Gentleman of the result.
