Mr. JOHN JONESasked the Secretary for War if he is aware that great dissatisfaction has been created by the discharge of ex-soldiers and ex-sailors who have been employed at the Army Pay Office, Lower Thames Street, S.E.; and if ho will state why women and civilian clerks have been retained whilst these men, many of whom have been wounded in the War, have been dismissed?
§ Mr. FORSTERThe matter is already the subject of inquiry, and particulars are being obtained of any disabled soldiers who have been discharged, in order that their cases may be considered.
